Seolleung Lunch Pick | Hanshin Inter Valley Food Court
Today, I’d like to introduce a great spot near Seolleung Station where office workers can grab a light yet filling meal. This is a proper lunch recommendation for anyone wondering what to eat.
If you’re an office worker, choosing what to eat every day during lunch breaks or after work is probably one of the biggest challenges. When that happened, this was the kind of place where everyone could freely pick whatever they wanted without worrying about the rest of the group. It even made solo dining feel completely natural.
If you’ve worked near Seolleung Station for a long time, you’ve probably stopped by the 한신인터밸리 지하 푸드코트 (Hanshin Inter Valley underground food court) at least once.
Among the many options there, I visited 돈까스 리 (Donkatsu Lee), which stood out for its excellent value, and here’s how it went.

🏢 Stepping into the Spacious Hanshin Inter Valley Food Court
The exterior of the Hanshin Inter Valley building, also known as HS TOWER, looked quite impressive. Once I walked into the first-floor lobby, the escalator was right in front of me, so I headed straight down to the basement level.
After going down just one floor and turning the corner, the food court appeared. The first time I visited years ago, I thought it was just a small dining area, but it turned out to be much larger than expected. The entire space felt bright and comfortable, which I really liked.

As you can see from the photos, there were all kinds of choices gathered in one place: Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese pho, sweet-style spaghetti, and even an all-you-can-eat buffet. It felt like I could’ve come here every day without getting bored.
There were plenty of spacious tables, so it worked well for larger lunch groups. At the same time, it was also a comfortable place to enjoy a solo meal without feeling self-conscious.
One thing to keep in mind is that many of the restaurants tended to close fairly early in the evening since the area mainly catered to office workers.
I spent a moment deciding between the restaurants that were still open, but unsurprisingly, I ended up choosing Donkatsu Lee. It’s practically soul food for many guys.
As I looked over the menu, I was surprised by how affordable everything was for the middle of Gangnam.
A pork cutlet dish cost 7,500 KRW, while set menus ranged from 8,500 KRW to 9,500 KRW, making it easy to order even on days when I didn’t want to spend much.
Since it was raining that day, I suddenly found myself craving both a spicy broth and a crispy pork cutlet, so I ordered the Seafood Udon Set.
🍜 Diving into Rich Seafood Udon with Plump Shrimp
Here it is—the Seafood Udon Set I ordered. The combination looked pretty satisfying, with seafood udon and a mini pork cutlet on the side.
It came with a whole plump shrimp and mussels, giving the broth a refreshing yet slightly spicy flavor.

This was the mini pork cutlet served as part of the set. Even though it was included as a side, it definitely didn’t feel like an afterthought. It had a nice thickness, a crispy coating, and a rich, slightly sweet pork cutlet sauce. Dipping each bite into the sauce doubled the savory flavor.
Of course, since it’s a pork cutlet restaurant, it wasn’t surprising that the pork cutlet stood out even more than the udon.
Just because it’s located in a food court doesn’t mean the quality falls short.
For less than 10,000 KRW, I thought the value was genuinely excellent.

Since meals around Seolleung Station often cost more than 10,000 KRW, I was genuinely glad that a food court like this still existed.

From Exit 4 of Seolleung Station, walk straight along Teheran-ro and you’ll spot the huge HS TOWER building. Head into the lobby, take the escalator in the center of the first floor down to B1, and you’ll find the entrance to the large food court right away.
