When I was choosing a place for an important meeting, there were always plenty of details to think about. Not long ago, my girlfriend met my parents for the first time, so I spent quite a bit of time looking for a suitable restaurant.
Since it was a meal with my parents and a first introduction where everyone could’ve felt a little nervous, I needed somewhere that created a comfortable atmosphere so the conversation wouldn’t feel awkward.
In the end, everyone enjoyed the food, and the separate private room made it a great place to talk comfortably despite the natural tension of a first meeting.

Because I was meeting with my parents, I wanted to avoid anywhere that was difficult to find.
This place was within easy walking distance of Sinjung-dong Station, so I felt at ease right away. It was convenient by public transportation, and the building also had well-organized parking. That meant there was no need to stress over the weather or travel plans on the day of the appointment.

The private room we were shown to felt spacious and cozy, allowing us to enjoy our time without being interrupted by noise from other diners. Once the door was closed, it became noticeably quiet, making it easy for my parents and girlfriend to listen to each other and carry on a relaxed conversation.

We chose the “Grilled Beef Rib Feast Set” because it appealed to older diners and felt appropriate for treating guests. The dishes were brought out together on a large serving table and smoothly slid onto our table, which kept the meal flowing nicely.

The grilled beef ribs were tender rather than tough, and the seasoning had soaked in just the right amount. My parents and my girlfriend all enjoyed them.
Alongside the main dish were freshly cooked hot stone-pot rice, stew, seasoned grilled fish, bossam, seasoned cockles, marinated crab, and other neatly arranged side dishes that made the table look wonderfully abundant.

To finish the meal, we poured water into the stone pot and enjoyed the scorched rice soup, wrapping everything up on a satisfying note.

As we were finishing our meal, I asked whether there was a separate dessert menu. There wasn’t one, but guests could help themselves to dessert drinks or ice cream from the dessert bar.
It was a small but thoughtful touch that let us freshen up with something sweet and cool, helping bring a relaxed ending to what had been a somewhat nerve-racking meal.
