Aloy Thai Pad Thai Review | Seolleung Station Favorite

These days, the weather’s been gradually warming up, and it’s finally become the kind of season where I didn’t need a jacket anymore.

After work, I wandered around near Seolleung Station looking for a light dinner before heading home and happened to pass by a Thai restaurant.

The storefront was completely opened up to match the pleasant weather, and the whole place gave off a Southeast Asian vibe. It felt like the kind of spot that would serve an above-average Pad Thai, so I went straight in without hesitating. As it turned out, the restaurant was popular enough that nearby office workers even lined up during lunch hours.

🌿 Stepping into a Relaxed Thai Atmosphere

The folding doors at the entrance were wide open, so I could easily peek inside before going in. Cute Thai decorations and soft lighting were scattered throughout the space, making it feel like I’d stepped into a local restaurant somewhere in Bangkok.

When I visited around 6:30 PM, the dining room was spacious and uncrowded, making it perfect for eating alone. I enjoyed the cool evening breeze and had a quiet, comfortable meal at my own pace, which left me very satisfied.

🍝 Diving into Sweet and Tangy Pad Thai Goong

My pick that day was Pad Thai Goong (13,000 KRW), a Thai-style stir-fried noodle dish topped with plump shrimp. It immediately caught my eye when I looked over the menu.

I mixed the noodles with the shrimp (the shrimp somehow didn’t make it into the photo 😂😂, but trust me, they were there), crunchy bean sprouts, and nutty crushed peanuts before digging in. The signature sweet-and-sour flavor spread through my mouth right away, and the seasoning was spot on.

I noticed a draft beer machine near the entrance and briefly thought about pairing my meal with a cold pint, but I decided to skip it and focus entirely on the Pad Thai instead.

You can actually spot the evidence of the shrimp in the empty-plate photo. ^^;

By my standards as an adult male, the portion felt just slightly small, but for a typical single serving, it was perfectly reasonable. 🤣

The alley in front of the restaurant was quite narrow, and there wasn’t dedicated parking available, so taking public transportation was the most convenient option.
